What makes the members of American Accent Freeway so successful?
I set out to create a step-by-step process that was missing in the way we learn accents. To bridge the gap between learning the American accent and performing with the accent, to fill in the missing pieces that haven’t been taught to you, to have a resource you can use day after day for every audition and role that you book. To teach you how not to rely on someone else for feedback because now you know exactly what to do to sound authentic in the accent. This is why my students are successful and this is how you will experience the same results for yourself.
How is the the self paced program different to the VIP program?
The self paced program is completely self paced meaning you can go at your own pace. You get all of the benefits and bonuses of the AAF program including an initial and final feedback assessment on your accent.
It just doesn’t include the 8 private online coaching sessions plus the additional mentoring & accountability.
Do I get lifetime Access with either program?
You sure do! Which is great because you’ll have a resource you can refer to whenever you have an Audition or role booked in the American accent.
What kind of accent will I be learning?
You will be learning the All American accent. It is an American accent of no specific region which means it sounds neutral. Any influence from a specific part of The U.S. is removed. The All American accent can be used for many different roles and is often required for American auditions. The All American accent is the foundation to learning New York, Southern or other regions.
How long does it take to be able to perform with an American accent?
It varies for each person. It really depends on how much time you can devote to your accent practice. The key is to practice everyday even if it’s just for a few minutes a day. Stay engaged in the process, keep observing the accent in different ways.
How is this course different to other accent courses?
So different! First of all think of this more like an ongoing program instead of a course. You get free updates, surprise check ins with me and so much more. This program is the evolution of my accent journey. When I moved to Australia I struggled to get the accent right. You see, accent training and acting are often thought of as separate processes. I use MY process that I developed to help me sound ‘authentic’ in another accent AND be able to maintain the accent in performance. As an authentic American speaker who lives overseas you get someone who understands YOUR point of view and how to really help you feel confident speaking in the accent.
English is not my first language. Can I still take this program?
Yes! This program is designed to help Actor’s from other countries learn the General American accent and how to bring it into performance. This is however, NOT an ESL class. The process may take longer if English isn’t your first language and you may need to focus on additional consonants and articulation work to build up your clarity while speaking in the American accent.
I'm a Presenter (and/or) Voiceover artist. Should I take this program?
Absolutely! In fact I’ve had quite a few Voiceover Artists enrol in the program. As there is performance in voice over and presenting, you will still benefit from the process and learn useful skills to carry into your own style of performance.

Will my American accent be perfect?
This program teaches you how to perform freely & confidently with an All American accent. You will have all the tools you need to enhance your American accent but it is up to you as to how flawless your American accent will be. Accent perfection takes time and everyone learns differently and at different rates.
I'd rather do one on one sessions. Isn't that better to get on the spot feedback?
One on one sessions are great to get on the spot feedback but if you don’t have the resources and the tools to practice in between sessions your progress will fall short. In my VIP Program (limited spots available) you can get on the spot feedback as well as personalised feedback on a monologue or scene of your choice. The best resource you can have is my online program because you will have lifetime access to a resource that will help you whenever you have a U.S. audition or role to prepare. When you turn in your initial and final accent assessment you will receive that personalised feedback from me that will help you to know what sounds or areas you need to work on.
How long does it take to go through the program?
The length of each module varies but it’s usually anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour. To get the maximum benefit of the course you will need to practice. The amount of time and frequency for practice is up to you as you can go at your own pace. My recommendations when you are first learning the accent is to practice for 1 hour each day (5 days a week). If you got a busy day, I recommend trying to at least do my 5 minute accent prep.
What if I want a refund? What's your policy?
So here’s the deal. This course is designed to help you learn and bring the American accent into performance and into the American character. I pride myself on bringing you a unique course that will help fill in the gaps in your previous training. If you put in the time and work you will start to see growth in your American accent. If you don’t do the work or give up too easily you won’t see the progression in your accent. I am teaching you how to become your own Dialect coach. You will learn to be self aware so you can self correct yourself and that will help bring your American accent to the professional level you’ve been striving to achieve! If, however, within 30 days, you are not happy for whatever reason then simply email my support team and you will receive a full refund.
